How can air conditioning help?

Introduction

Portables

Remember, portables have a tumble dryer type hose that must be vented outside.

Conservatories

Conservatories: we love them here in the UK. The reasons for adding them to our homes are many, but the usual one is for extra room. The trouble is that they invariably fail to perform this function because they end up being too hot in the summer and far too cold in the winter. They also become the first unusable room in the house as the evenings get colder at the end of summer because we cant justify putting the central heating on for one room.

We do not supply or recommend portable Air conditioners as we do not think they offer value for money. They are noisy, take up valuable floor space and offer poor performance. Our systems are fixed units that take up no floor space and both heat and cool.

Modern A/C systems as installed by us are termed heatpumps and can move heat in or out of a room, meaning that they can cool you in summer and warm you in winter. They also do this in a very efficient manner costing around one third that of an equivalent electric heater to run. Another benefit is that as a by-product of cooling the air, they remove moisture, lowering the humidity. To walk into an air conditioned conservatory on a typical British sticky, thundery day is absolute bliss. In short, A/C makes your conservatory usable all year round.
